Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Mozzarella Balls ciliegine or bocconcini size
  • 3/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Garlic Cloves thinly sliced
  • 1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
  • 1 sprig Fresh Thyme
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley roughly chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Zest

Instructions

  • Drain and dry: Drain the mozzarella balls and gently pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Layer in a jar: In a clean 16 oz mason jar or an airtight container, add the mozzarella balls. Layer with garlic slices, herbs, salt, pepper, and optional ingredients like red pepper flakes and lemon zest.
  • Add olive oil: Pour in the olive oil until the mozzarella is fully submerged.
  • Marinate: Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to let the flavors infuse. Shake gently once a day to redistribute the seasonings.
  • Serve: Bring to room temperature before serving. Enjoy with crackers, crostini, salads, or pasta.
