Ingredients
For the Burger Patties:
2lb.Ground Bison
4tbspVery Cold Buttergrated
1packetFrench Onion Soup Seasoning Mix (lipton brand is what I used)
Make the Patty Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground bison, grated butter, French onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined do not overwork.
Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 6–8 equal portions and shape into burger patties about ¾-inch thick. Press a small dimple in the center of each to help them cook evenly.
Grill the Burgers: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 140–145°F for medium. Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking, if desired.
Assemble the Burgers: Toast the buns on the grill. Layer the bottom bun with burger sauce, lettuce, the grilled bison patty, tomato slices, and the top bun.
