Ingredients

Tinned Fish (Choose 3-4 varities)

  • 1 tin Smoked Trout or Mackrel packed in oil
  • 1 tin Smoked Mussels
  • 1 tin Calamari
  • 1 tin Smoked Tuna Fillets

Additional Add On's

  • Pickled Onions
  • Calabrian Chili Spread
  • Marinated Olives
  • Pickle De Gallo
  • Smoked Saltines or cracker of choice
  • Potato Chips
  • Toasted Baguette
  • Fresh Herbs for garnishing
  • Lemon Wedges

Instructions

  • Arrange the tinned fish: Open cans just before serving. Drain excess oil if desired, or pour into small bowls to retain flavor. Display directly in their tins or transfer to ramekins.
  • Build your board: Place crackers or bread on one side of the board. Add cheeses or spreads in small bowls.
  • Add accompaniments: Scatter pickles, olives, and fresh vegetables in between. Tuck in herbs for color and freshness. Add any garnishes to the board (fresh herbs, lemon wedges, etc.).
  • Serve & enjoy: Pair with a crisp white wine, sparkling rosé, or vermouth over ice for the perfect tinned fish experience.

Notes

  • Mix textures: Use both creamy and crunchy elements to balance the richness of the fish.
  • Keep it chilled: If prepping ahead, refrigerate everything except the crackers and assemble right before serving.
