Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice fresh is best
  • 2 tbsp Orange Zest
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1-2 tsp Chili Flakes (adjust to your desired spice level)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger grated
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (slurry, for thickening)

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together orange juice, orange zest, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, chili flakes, garlic, and ginger.
  • Simmer & Thicken: Bring to a simmer and cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly reduced. Whisk in cornstarch slurry and simmer another 1–2 minutes until glossy and thickened.
  • Serve the Glaze: Use immediately as a glaze for grilled or roasted meats, toss with vegetables or tofu, or serve on the side as a dipping sauce.

Notes

Thickening tip: If your sauce is too thin, simmer a little longer or add another small splash of cornstarch slurry. If it’s too thick, whisk in cold water until the consistency is right.
