Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz. Limoncello
  • 3/4 oz Lime Juice about 1 lime
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup optional for additional sweetness
  • Ice
  • Decorative Sugar for rimming the glass

Instructions

  • Rim your glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or margarita glass. Dip into salt or sugar, then fill with fresh ice and set aside.
  • Shake it up: In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, limoncello, lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake and strain: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until chilled. Strain into your prepared glass.
  • Garnish and serve: Top with a lemon wheel, lime wedge, or fresh herbs like mint or basil for extra flavor and flair.

Notes

For a sparkling version, top with soda water or prosecco.
