Ingredients

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 cups Smoked Kalua Pulled Pork (warm or reheated)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ Sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Melted Butter (for brushing)

For the Mango Slaw:

  • 1 cup Green Cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup Red Cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup Shaved Carrots julienne or ribbons
  • 1 ripe Mango diced (or 1 cup diced pineapple)
  • 4 Green Onions diced
  • 1 Jalapeno seededa and diced

Slaw Dressing:

  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1.5 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • Make the Mango Slaw: In a large bowl, combine the green cabbage, red cabbage, carrot ribbons, diced mango (or pineapple), green onions, and diced jalapeño. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until emulsified. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss until evenly coated. Set aside.
  • Prepare the Hawaiian Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls attached. Place the bottom half on a baking sheet or tray.
  • Assemble the Sliders: Evenly layer the warm pulled pork over the bottom buns. Drizzle with BBQ sauce if using. Top with a generous amount of the mango slaw, then place the top half of the rolls over the slaw.
  • Warm and Finish: Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter. Optionally, place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes to toast lightly, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  • Serve: Slice into individual sliders and serve immediately. Enjoy these pulled pork sliders warm as a party appetizer, game-day snack, or casual dinner.

Notes

  • Swap mango for pineapple if desired.
  • Use your favorite BBQ sauce or serve it on the side for guests to add.
