Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Blanco Tequila
  • 1.5 oz. Carrot Juice
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz Ginger Syrup or agave
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • 1 tsp Tajin Seasoning for the rim
  • Shaved Carrots for garnish

Instructions

  • Pour Tajin onto a small flat plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and press it into the Tajin to coat. Fill the glass with fresh ice and set aside.
  • Add the tequila, carrot juice, Fiery Ginger Syrup, Cointreau, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake hard for 10 to 15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch.
  • Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Alternatively, strain into a coupe or Nick and Nora glass for a served-up presentation.
  • Garnish with a rolled shaved carrot or lime wedge and serve immediatly.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a slice of fresh jalapeño to the shaker before shaking. Bottled 100% carrot juice can be used in place of fresh. Mezcal can be substituted for a smoky variation.
