Prime Rib Rub Recipe

This prime rib rub recipe combines a blend of aromatic herbs and spices like rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, creating a crust that's both flavorful and beautifully caramelized. The mix also includes coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper, enhancing the meat's natural flavors and ensuring a juicy, tender roast every time.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Kosher Salt
  • 2 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Minced Dried Onions or onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1 tsp Smoky Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Powder

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine all the spices together and mix well.
  • Use as desired on prime rib, other cuts of beef, or any other protein, veggies, or sides. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

I prefer a slightly coarser style rub for this recipe. If you want a finer rub, blend in a spice grinder until you get the desired texture before using.
