Save this recipe for grilled lemon pepper wings, a crowd-pleaser that combines the tangy zest of lemon with the bold kick of pepper on succulently grilled chicken.

The star of this recipe is the lemon pepper seasoning mixture. I prefer to make my own easily at home, but you can also use a store bought seasoning blend as well.

Next, prepare the wings. Remove them from the packaging and pat them very dry to remove excess moisture.

In a bowl, coat the wings in a small amount of oil. Then add in the lemon pepper seasoning and toss together. They should have a nice coating.

Prepare the smoker for indirect heat and set it to 225 F. Smoke the wings on the grill grates for about 30 minutes at this temp.

After 30 minutes, open the grill vents full to crank up the temperature on the smoker. This helps render the fat and get the skin nice and crispy. Cook to 180 F. internal.

Remove the wings from the smoker. You can also try making this honey lemon butter sauce recipe to go over them as well.

Toss in the sauce or serve as is with your favorite dressings. This is a fresh and delicious wing recipe you need to try!
