Keto Candied Bacon With Bourbon

Sweet and savory, this keto friendly candied bacon is a the perfect treat to make for brunch, add to a charcuterie platter, or as a scrumptious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Bacon
  • 2 oz. Bourbon
  • 1/2 tsp Maple Extract
  • 1 cup Low Carb Sweetener
  • Cracked Black Pepper
  • Stevia/ Monk Fruit Drops optional for extra sweetness

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack over the top of the foil.
  • In a bowl combine the low carb sweetener, bourbon, and maple extract and whisk together.
  • Either dip the bacon pieces into the sweetener or use a basting brush to paint it on both sides of the bacon.
  • Bake for 20 minutes and flip it. Allow it to cook until the fat renders. Remove it from the oven and allow it cool slightly and it will set a bit more.
  • Eat it. Duh.
