Ingredients
2Ham Slices
2tsp.Olive Oil
Optional Add On's
Pineapple BBQ Sauce
Mango and Pineapple Salsa
Instructions
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and set it for direct heat.
Remove the ham steaks from the packaging and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Lightly oil the outside of each side of the ham steaks. Add any BBQ dry rub seasoning to the sides if desired.
Place each ham steak in the center of the grill and sear for 2-3 minutes per side. After you've flipped each steak you can sear again and apply a glaze or the pineapple BBQ sauce to each side to allow it to get tacky.
Remove once the steaks are heated through fully. The FDA recommends cooking ham steaks to 145 F. internally.
Serve the ham steaks with additional BBQ sauce and the mango and pineapple salsa if desired.
Notes
This recipe works on any style grill (gas or charcoal) as long as you can sear over direct heat.
