Ingredients

  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 3 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1 cup Pineapple diced small
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Smoky Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. Cayenne

Instructions

  • Finely chop up 1 cup of fresh pineapple. If using canned chunks, diced them smaller.
  • In a medium sized pot or saucepan over medium heat, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.
  • Then, add in the pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, and spices and whisk to combine.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir occasionally. Let the sauce reduce down so the pineapple becomes soft and breaks down and the sauce darkens in color and thickens, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature. Store in a glass jar or airtight container for up to 7 days.

Notes

Adjust sweetness or spiciness as desired.
