A lower carb approach to classic orange liqueur for cocktails and more!

BONAPPETEACH.COM

Triple sec is a clear, orange flavored liqueur that is bright, citrusy, and similar to an orange flavored vodka.

What is triple sec?

I often use it in a classic margarita or cosmopolitan cocktail. A sugar free version lowers the carb count of your favorite drinks!

What cocktails do you use it in?

To get the right sweetness and to keep it low carb and sugar free, I use my keto simple syrup recipe, orange peels, and vodka.

Ingredients:

Start by making your simple syrup. Allulose is the best low carb sweetener to create a syrup like texture that doesn't re-solidify.

Peel the outside of an orange and keep as much of the white part (the pith) off of the peel as possible. This can make it bitter.

Place your keto/ sugar free simple syrup into a jar or container with the orange peels.

Pour in the vodka and then let the mixture sit for 24-36 hours to extract the oils and flavor from the orange peel into the mixture.

Make sure to remove the orange peels after 2-3 days max and store the jar in the fridge for longest lasting results!
