This recipe uses a mixture of fresh, minced garlic, shallots, red pepper flakes, sesame seeds and a neutral oil to pour over the top. 

Start by thinly slicing the shallots and a whole head of garlic. Prep these in advance so everything can come together easily. 

Begin by lightly browning the shallots and garlic on low heat in a little sesame oil to start. Sesame oil adds a nice flavor here. 

Let this mixture cook for about 5-6 minutes. Once cooked remove it from the heat to stop the browning process. 

Next, add in the sesame seeds and red chili flakes. Stir in some soy sauce and a little salt if desired. 

Carefully heat a neutral oil and then pour it over everything and let it fully cool to room temperature. Once cooled, store in a jar and keep refrigerated.
