I particularly love it in this salmon dish, on these Keto Crackers, and basically anything else I can find to use it with. So, the star of this dish HAS to be the salmon. Without a good quality cut of salmon, you really just have a bowl of veggies with an egg on top. Now don’t get me wrong… I am all about my veggies and eggs. But, salmon people! You don’t want to miss out on the salmon! I really like grilling my salmon in foil these days (baking is definitely doable as well). It helps steam the fish nicely, retains the moisture, and then I like to finish it all off over open heat or under broiler (if using the oven).

When I think of the perfect Everything Bagel (and when you eat low carb….you think of bagels quite often let’s be honest here), I think of everything to go on it! I want the cream cheese, I want the salmon, I want the capers, I want the yolk dripping egg, and I want all the avocado. Everything But The Bagel Salmon Bowls

Serves: 2 Cooking Time: 45 minutes


  • 2, 3 oz. Salmon Fillets
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh Parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. Melted Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp of Salt & Pepper
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Everything Bagel Seasoning (I use Trader Joe's brand)
  • 1/ cup Creme Fraiche or Sour Cream
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh Dill
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp. Sea Salt
  • 1/4 Wedge of Iceberg Lettuce
  • 1 Avocado, sliced or diced
  • 1/2 cup Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Cucumbers
  • 1/2 Red Onion (optional) ,cut into 4 pieces
  • 2 Eggs (cooked to your preference)
  • Capers for garnish



Preheat your oven or grill to 375 degree F. Take two large squares of foil and set them aside.


Melt the butter in a small bowl and mix in the olive oil, parsley, garlic, and add a little salt and pepper (about 1/2 tsp of each).


Place each salmon fillet onto a piece of foil. Coat the top in the garlic butter mixture and then wrap the salmon in the foil so it is completely sealed. *If adding the red onion, place the onion in the foil with the salmon to steam*


Cook for about 15 minutes. To finish the salmon off, open the foil packets and sprinkle the top with the Everything Bagel Seasoning. Pop it under the broiler or over direct heat (on the grill) for a few minutes. Be sure to watch it so it doesn't burn


While the salmon is cooking, prepare the ingredients for your bowl.


Cut the 1/4 wedge of lettuce in half to create two wedges. Place one in each bowl. Toss in a handful of the tomatoes into each bowl as well. Slice the cucumber and avocado. Place half of each into each bowl. Cook your eggs to your preference (hard boiled, soft boiled, fried, poached, etc.). Place the cooked salmon into the bowl with the egg.


To make the dressing, combine the creme fraiche or sour cream, the fresh dill, lemon juice, and sea salt together in a bowl. Thin it out with a bit of water if you want or serve it over the lettuce and salmon as is.


Top everything off with a few capers and serve!
